Most of our work starts with flowers. Someone picks an arrangement from the shop, or they call about a delivery, and we take it from there. But every so often, a conversation goes deeper. A homeowner wants to rethink how florals fit into their entire living space. An event planner needs someone who can take a loose idea and turn it into a room full of people saying, “Who did the flowers?” A business wants something that feels like them—not just a vase on the counter, but a signature. That is where bespoke consultancy comes in.
This is not a product you add to a cart. It is a working relationship. We sit down with you, learn what you are trying to create, and build something from there—whether that is a single unforgettable evening or a floral program that runs year-round.
We use the word carefully. Bespoke means we are not pulling from a menu. There are no pre-set packages, no “Option A or Option B.” Instead, we start with a blank page and your vision—however clear or vague it might be—and design around it. Some clients come to us with a Pinterest board and a floor plan. Others walk in and say, “I want my home to feel different but I do not know where to start.” Both are fine. That is the whole point of a consultancy.
FULL EVENT DESIGN
When the event is large enough or important enough that flowers are not just a detail but part of the experience, that is when this service makes the most sense. We have designed for galas, corporate launches, private celebrations, and milestone events where the floral work had to carry the room. It starts with a meeting—sometimes at the venue, sometimes over coffee—where we talk about the occasion, the guest count, the mood, the palette, and any ideas you already have. From there, we put together a full proposal: what we would do, how it would look, and what it would cost.
We handle sourcing, building, delivery, installation, and breakdown. You do not coordinate with three vendors for the centerpieces, the ceremony arch, and the cocktail tables. You coordinate with us, and we take care of all of it.
HOME AND SPACE STYLING
This is for clients who want flowers as a permanent part of their home—not just a nice-to-have, but a real element of how the space looks and feels. We visit the home, walk through the rooms, look at the light and the furniture and the colors, and then we design a program. That might mean a single large arrangement in the foyer that changes with the seasons, or it might mean fresh florals in three rooms on a rotating schedule. It depends on the home and the person living in it.
What makes this different from our regular home delivery service is the depth of the conversation up front. We are not just choosing pretty stems. We are thinking about the architecture of the space, the lifestyle of the client, and what it takes for flowers to feel like they belong rather than like they were placed there. The goal is that anyone who walks into your home notices the flowers without realizing why—they just make the room feel right.
BRAND AND AESTHETIC CONSULTING
Businesses have identities, and flowers can be part of that identity when someone takes the time to think it through. A boutique hotel in the Triangle should not have the same florals as a dental office, and neither should look like they ordered from a catalog. We work with business owners to develop a floral aesthetic that matches their brand—the colors, the scale, the energy. We look at what their customers see when they walk in and figure out how flowers can reinforce the feeling the space is supposed to create.
This can be a one-time consultation where we set the direction and you take it from there, or it can be the start of a recurring partnership where we handle the florals week after week. Either way, we approach it the same: we learn your business before we pick a single stem. If you already know what you want and prefer to skip the consultation, our subscription service is the fastest way to get fresh flowers on a regular schedule.
THE PROCESS
It starts with an inquiry—a form submission, a phone call, an email. We set up a meeting, either in person or over the phone, and talk about what you have in mind. There is no pressure and no pitch. We want to understand the scope, the timeline, and what matters to you. After that, we go away and think. We sketch, we source, we price it out. Then we come back with a proposal—detailed enough that you know exactly what you are getting and what it will cost, but flexible enough to adjust if something changes.
Every bespoke floral consultancy engagement is quoted individually. There is no minimum spend and no preset fee structure. Some consultancies are a single afternoon of planning for a dinner party. Others stretch across months for a large-scale event series. The scope determines the cost, and we are upfront about both before any work begins.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Is the initial consultation free?
The first conversation is always free. We want to hear what you are thinking and see if we are the right fit. If the project moves forward, we present a formal proposal with pricing.
I do not have a clear vision yet. Can you still help?
That is exactly what this service is for. Some of our best projects started with a client saying, “I know I want something, I just do not know what.” We ask questions, listen, and bring the vision to life.
How far in advance should I reach out for an event?
The earlier the better, especially for large events. A month is workable for smaller projects, but for anything with significant scale—a gala, a multi-room installation, a wedding weekend—two to three months gives us room to do our best work.
Do you work with event planners and designers?
Yes, regularly. We collaborate well with planners, interior designers, and venue coordinators. We are happy to be part of a team or to lead the floral side independently.
